Loknath Behera, Kerala police chief, has honoured 10 women officers. The honoured officials were earlier involved in the arrest of K P Sasikala, who is the state president of Hindu Aikya Vedi.
Sasikala said, “poor police personnel work there without even having basic facilities”. Sarcastically, the leader said she congratulated Kerala police chief for the service he extended to women cops who blocked her path to the shrine.
The leader was arrested on 18th November at Marakootam(near Sabarimala). She was later released on bail.
The Sabarimala shrine was opened on November 16 for the two months long annual pilgrimage season.
