Follow Newsd On

A youth was arrested at the Madivala Police Station on Monday, in Bengaluru for wielding a knife and threatening people for liquor along with four of his subordinates.

The man reached the shop and terrorized people standing in the queue for liquor with a knife. After a while, his four other gang members arrived and started to threaten people.

The incident occurred at Vanilla Spirit Zone in Guruappanapalya in the city.

Initially, people standing in the queue take no notice of the man that results in the man wielding a knife.

While two of the man’s subordinates escaped, he was caught by the Madivala police.

The Centre has allowed liquor sales across the country, excluding containment areas. As per the government order, only standalone shops will be allowed to sell liquor; malls or liquor shops in shopping complexes will remain closed. This drove people to crowd liquor shops in huge numbers, disobeying social distancing norms. Several retailers have also expressed concerns that their existing stock may dry-up soon.
