The driver said Kumar, the chief security officer, to talk to Haridwar Dubey, the owner of the car. He said, “I am going to pick him from toll plaza”, to which the unconvinced officer took hold of the car’s key. The team then carried him to a nearby police station.

In a conversation with ETV Bharat, the BJP leader said, “He is my driver and he is new. I called him to toll plaza to pick me, but he was driving on wrong side. The security officer, even after being requested to talk on phone, didn’t listen to him and didn’t talk on phone.”

The minister took a Volvo and had asked his driver to locate him at Fatehabad’s toll plaza.
