Seems like Prime Day didn’t turn out to be that good for Amazon as it has discounted a wide range of camera gear for Prime Day this week but it turned out to be the best deal for the photographers instead and might have cost Amazon a hefty amount.
People were able to purchase high-end camera gear bundles some worth over $5,000 for just around $100, all thanks to the pricing error.
There were users who were able to see the same price and place orders while there were other users who reported that they are still seeing the normal price of $550. Another interesting thing was that it wasn’t the 3rd part sellers that $94.50 price applied to but the gear was being sold and shipped by Amazon.
Many have speculated that their orders may get canceled by Amazon in light of the pricing error but to much surprise, some members were actually notified that their purchases have been sent out for shipping at no extra cost.
