In a bizarre incident, an elderly man was beaten up by women and forced to spit and lick his own saliva as punishment for entering the sarpanch’s hpuse. The incident took place in Ajaipur village of Noorsarai block in Nalanda, the home district of Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The victim had gone to meet the village head to avail a government scheme and was thrashed by women with slippers and made to spit and lick saliva as punishment for entering the Sarpanch’s house without knocking. In an amateur video, the man can also be seen being beaten up with slippers by at least two women.
Bihar cabinet minister, Nand Kishore Yadav, has condemned the incident and assured that the culprits will be booked. “Such incidents will not be tolerated, we will take strict action against the culprits,” he said.
