New Delhi: CISF surveillance & intelligence staff of IGI Airport on behaviour detection on Wednesday observed suspicious activities of a passenger in the check-in area of terminal-3, IGI Airport.
He was intercepted and enquired. On enquiry, he revealed his identity as Murad Alam (Indian), bound for Dubai by Air India flight No AI-995 (STD-2025 hrs).
On suspicion, he was taken to the random checking point for thorough checking of his luggage. On x-ray screening of his baggage, CISF personnel noticed suspicious images inside his bag. The baggage was taken out for physical checking.
On physical checking of his baggage, a high volume of foreign currencies was found concealed in cooked mutton pieces, peanuts, biscuit packets and other eatable items kept inside his baggage.
This is a unique & peculiar modus-operandi for concealment of foreign currency.

4. Omani riyal 05×06= 300 &
5. Euro 50×36= 1,800
Later, the said passenger along with the recovered high volume of foreign currency worth INR 45 lakh was handed over to Customs Officials for further action in the matter.
