Cyberabad Work From Park Spaces: Cyberabad in Telangana is planning a new facility that will allow people to work from public parks instead of staying inside offices or working from home. The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) wants to develop 30 ‘Work From Park’ spaces across the city. These parks will offer office-like facilities in a green and quiet environment.
The project is mainly aimed at IT employees, business owners, freelancers and young people running startups. Cyberabad has several national and international IT companies. The new spaces are expected to give working professionals another place to complete their daily tasks without dealing with busy roads and traffic.

CMC Commissioner G. Srujana announced the plan while speaking to the media on Saturday. The corporation has selected two locations for the first phase of the project.
The first location is a 1.5-acre park in Majeedbanda Madhav Hills Colony under the Serilingampalli zone. The second site is a one-acre garden in Madhapur under the Kukatpally zone.
Work has already started at both locations. The corporation plans to develop 30 such parks within its limits. According to the commissioner, the first two parks are expected to open on January 1, 2027.
The project will bring several office facilities into public parks. Some of the planned facilities include:
Explaining the plan, G. Srujana said, “The ‘Work from Park’ is being developed with a peaceful atmosphere, tall trees, impressive rooms in the middle, comfortable chairs, free WiFi, cafeteria, co-working seating, amphitheatre, startup theme meeting hall, walking track, electric vehicle charging facility, toilets and other facilities.”
The new parks will also have CCTV cameras to keep visitors safe. Unlike regular parks that usually close in the evening, these working spaces will remain available from morning until midnight.
The corporation plans to charge a small fee for using these facilities from next year. The exact amount hasn’t been announced yet. CMC will also study public feedback before taking the project to other areas. Changes and new facilities may be added depending on how people use the first two parks.

“There will be CCTV surveillance for security. These parks will be available from morning to midnight. We will make it available from next year with a nominal usage fee. We will develop it in other areas with changes and additions based on the response,” she said.
Srujana also said that IT employees are expected to benefit from the project. More parks could be developed after the corporation receives feedback from visitors.
Cyberabad’s plan comes shortly after Dubai introduced its first Work From Park facility at Al Barsha Pond Park on November 2, 2026.
The project was launched by Dubai Municipality in partnership with flexible workspace platform Letswork. It offers outdoor working areas along with indoor co-working spaces, private offices and meeting rooms. The facility also provides WiFi and other work-related services.
