History and Spiritual Significance

• Celebratory illuminations on streets, public squares, mosques, and buildings, using lights and decorations.
• Milad or Mawlid processions which are such gigantic parades where participants sing naats, wave flags, and hold models of mosques or shrines.
• Charity and service intervenors distributing food across Pakistan, mobilizing free medical camps for needy persons and homeless persons doing welfare activities at previously mentioned community centres or mosques.
• Spiritual gatherings at which scholars give remembrances of the life of the Prophet Muhammad, which includes lessons about peace and togetherness.
