Gold and Silver Price Fall: Gold Down 7% From Recent High, Silver Also Falls | Reasons Explained
Gold moved a lot in early September. One market tracker put 24K gold at ₹1,54,081 for 10 grams on August 31. On September 1, it was ₹1,52,174. By September 2, it was close to ₹1,51,632.
“A rebound in oil prices after renewed U.S.-Iran tensions added to inflation concerns. A pricier crude could continue to tighten monetary policy expectations and drive yields higher, limiting any rebound potential for gold,” said Bas Kooijman, CEO and asset manager of DHF Capital S.A.
Silver was not stable either. Goodreturns showed the India silver rate at ₹2,45,000 per kg on September 2. That was ₹5,000 less than the previous day when it stood at ₹2,50,000.
