During the late-morning hours, MCX gold was around ₹1.54 lakh per 10 grams. MCX silver was close to ₹2.40 lakh per kg. Retail gold and silver rates also changed in different Indian cities.

At 11:12 AM IST, the MCX gold October 2026 contract was near ₹1,54,351 per 10 grams. That was ₹109 lower, or 0.07%, than the last close of ₹1,54,460.
The contract started at ₹1,54,304. It traded in a range, from ₹1,53,997 at the low to ₹1,54,783 at the high. The average price for the session was about ₹1,54,262 per 10 grams.
Earlier, the MCX gold price briefly slipped past ₹1.55 lakh. The move was quick, just like the rest of Tuesday’s trading.

MCX Silver Update
Silver continued to attract attention on Tuesday. Around the late-morning session, MCX silver was trading close to ₹2.40 lakh per kg, after gaining sharply earlier in the session.
Goodreturns reported MCX silver near ₹2,40,500 per kg around 11:09 AM, with the contract having gained nearly ₹3,700. For comparison, Moneycontrol reported the September silver contract at ₹2,34,420 per kg at 9:02 AM, highlighting the sharp intraday movement in the white metal.
