I don’t do political campaigning: Sushmita Sen quashes BJP’ claim of her campaigning for party

Bollywood actor and former Miss India Universe Sushmita Sen on Monday, 22 April, quashed the claims made by the Bharatiya Janata Party that the star model will campaigning for them in Etawah.

Sen in her tweet said, “FALSE NEWS. I DON’T DO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNING”, adding link to a news story in which BJP media in-charge for Etawah, Jitendra Gaur was noted as saying, Two Bollywood stars who have been invited for campaigning are Sushmita Sen and Ameesha Patel, Sushmita will be campaigning in Etawah and Ameesha in Auraiya district.

The voting for Uttar Pradesh’s 80 parliamentary seats will take place across the seven phases of the 2019 General elections beginning April 11. The last phase will be held on May 19.
