Etah is one of the ten constituencies in Uttar Pradesh to go on polls in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Tuesday, April 23. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has fielded incumbent Member of Parliament Rajveer Singh (Raju Bhaiya), while the SP-BSP-RLD alliance candidate is Samajwadi Party leader Devendra Yadav.
In 2014 Lok Sabha Elections BJP’ Rajveer had defeated SP leader Devendra Yadav by a margin of more than two lakh votes.
The voting for Uttar Pradesh’s 80 parliamentary seats will take place across the seven phases of the 2019 General elections beginning April 11. The last phase will be held on May 19.
The Etah Parliamentary constituency has a total of 1,278,295 electorates out of which 569,772 are females and 708,523 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 data.

In Phase III of the voting for the 17th Lok Sabha, elections will take place in 115 Lok Sabha constituencies across 14 states. Voting for this phase will take place on April 23. While, like all the other phases, counting will take place in May 23.

Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place for the third phase of Odisha Assembly Elections 2019. The turnout in the last general election in 2014 was more than 66%, up from 45% in 1951 when the first election was held.
