Indian Railways Special Trains: Indian Railways has decided to keep 10 pairs of summer special trains running for a longer time. These trains connect Bihar, Delhi, and Jharkhand. The move comes because more people are travelling now. The Sawan pilgrimage season is also adding to the rush. Many passengers are heading out on these routes, so the railways want to make travel easier and less crowded.
The special trains will now keep running through August and September 2026. This will give passengers more choices on some of the busiest rail routes in north Bihar and Jharkhand. The extra services are meant to help people who are finding it hard to get seats on regular trains. They should also reduce crowding during the peak travel period.

The biggest benefit of the extension is that it will help more passengers get confirmed or better travel options during this busy period. Regular trains often get packed during Sawan and also before the festive season begins. With these extra trips, the pressure on normal trains should come down a little.

Train No. 02563/02564 Barauni–New Delhi Daily Special will keep running until August 31, 2026. Train No. 02569/02570 Darbhanga–New Delhi daily special has been extended until September 1.
The railway also said that the Purnea Court-Anand Vihar Terminal and Saharsa-Anand Vihar Terminal special trains will also get additional trips. The Dhanbad-Shakur Basti special will continue under the new extended plan too.
Railway authorities also made it clear that nothing else will change in these services. The routes will stay the same. The stoppages will stay the same. The timings will also remain the same. Coach composition and all other operating details will continue just as they are now.
