Ahead of the International Yoga Day on June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun the celebration on Twitter by featuring different yoga poses.
It is no hidden thing that PM Modi loves yoga and he once said: “Yoga is a passport to health assurance, a key to fitness and wellness.”
Yoga is a form of art that increases respiration energy and vitality. Yoga is known for reducing weight while maintaining a balanced metabolism. It also keeps cardio and circulatory health in check and also protects the body from injuries.
Today PM Modi performed the Tadasana which is also known as mountain pose. It improves postures, strengthens thighs, knees and ankles. It works on the core muscle, firming the abdomen and buttocks. It can help in reducing flat feet and relieve sciatica.

However, one can suffer injuries if the asana is not done right. It is advised NOT to perform this asana if you suffer from varicose veins, headaches, insomnia, low blood pressure, heart disease, and vertigo.
