Janata Congress impressive performance; leading on five seats in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi led Janata Congress is leading on five assembly seats while the counting of votes for the Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2018 is underway.

The trend indicates that Congress party is heading towards a massive landslide victory in the state while the incumbent Chief Minister Raman Singh led BJP is failed to impress the voters and tends to lose power.

The contest in the state is directly between BJP and Congress, while former CM Ajit Jogi who was in Congress has made an impressive performance and fought this election in alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Communist Party of India (CPI).

CPI is also leading on 1 seat, while BSP is dry and yet to see any positive sign.
