A local Bhartiya Janata Party leader was stabbed to death allegedly by unidentified assailants. At Monday night, 34-year-old Pratyishmani Tripathi was attacked and left bleeding on the road in Badshanagar.
The leader was taken to the King George’s Medical University where he was declared dead.
Agitated supporters later protested outside the hospital demanding suspension of Lucknow Senior Superintendent of Police Kalanidhi Naithani. According to the crowd, Tripathi had requested for police protection after he receiving multiple threats to his life; to which the police did not pay any heed.
