The numbers that won the drawing on Friday night were 3, 9, 14, 26, and 51. There were 21 Mega Balls. There was a 4x Megaplier.
For the estimated $279 million jackpot, no one was able to match all six numbers. Connecticut and Virginia offered smaller rewards up to $1 million for matching the first five numbers. Players in the lottery in Indiana, New Jersey, and Oregon won $5 million each when they matched five numbers plus the megaplier.
Since nobody won big on the most recent draw, the jackpot has increased to an estimated $306 million, with a $143.8 million cash option.
The Mega Millions drawings take place at 8 p.m. in Arizona or 11 p.m. in Eastern time.
On drawing day, you have until 7:59 p.m. Arizona time to purchase a Mega Millions ticket. From the first Sunday in November until the second Saturday in March, the timing remains the same.
According to the website of the Arizona lottery, the cutoff time is reverted to 6:59 p.m. Arizona time for the remainder of the year, which runs from the second Sunday in March through the first Saturday in November.
