PGI to hold offline PGIMER 2020 MD/MS counselling; Check guidelines here

NEW DELHI: PGI Chandigarh to hold the third round of PGIMER 2020 counselling in offline mode. The shortlisted candidates who have not been allotted a seat should report at Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER Chandigarh on July 24, 2020, at 11:00 AM.

PGI Chandigarh has released the vacant seats available for round three of counselling on the official website pgimer.edu.in. Moreover, special COVID-19 PGIMER counselling guidelines are also mentioned in the public notice issued for the third round of allotment, and which must be followed by all candidates.

Aspirants who scored minimum percentile in their respective category – Gen/Sponsored – 55 and PwBD/RA/SC/ ST/OBC – 50 in the entrance examination conducted on June 14, 2020, are eligible to attend offline counselling. Through the third round of counselling, admission will be given to 181 Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) seats.

Important documents to carry at the counselling round:

Below-mentioned original documents, aspirants must carry at the offline PGIMER counselling venue. For a safer side, it is advised to carry a set of self-attested photocopies.

  • 10+2 certificates
  • MBBS degree certificate
  • Internship certificate
  • MCI Registration
  • Caste certificate
  • Any other asked government document (if relevant)

Offline PGIMER 2020 counselling guidelines:

Applicant personal appearance is compulsory at the counselling venue.

Candidates coming for counselling from across the states other than Chandigarh Tricity should either have to return within 72 hours to avoid 14 days quarantine or have to come prepared to join the course.

Aspirants are advised to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing.

Candidates are advised not to accompany more than one person in the counselling hall so as to maintain physical distance amid COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

Aspirants whose seats will be allotted, so in order to confirm the seats, aspirants have to deposit the requisite fee of Rs. 2,485.

Such aspirants need to join the allotted institutes by July 28, 2020, by 1:00 PM.
