POCO M8 Power 5G India Launch: Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO has started teasing the upcoming POCO M8 Power 5G in India, and there’s already a first look at the phone, in a very vibrant orange colour. This little teaser also leans hard on battery life as the main selling point. The whole teaser was shared via a dedicated Flipkart microsite and it basically confirms that the device will arrive in India soon.
POCO is adding another model to its M-series, which is a lineup people usually associate with feature-rich phones at very competitive prices. From what the early teasers are hinting, the M8 Power 5G will be built around long-lasting endurance, targeting users who care about staying powered for gaming, streaming and that everyday multitasking routine that never really ends.
In the first official teaser, the rear of the handset is shown pretty clearly, in a bold orange finish. That colour stands out pretty noticeably compared with the Redmi Note 17 variants currently available in China. Xiaomi still hasn’t disclosed the full design, but the rectangular camera module you can see in the teaser looks a lot like the one on the recently launched Redmi Note 17. So, naturally, people are speculating that the POCO M8 Power 5G might share a similar hardware with that device, while still using a different visual identity for the Indian market.

The teaser also carries the tagline, “Ready for Big Battery. Non-Stop Entertainment?”, making it clear that battery performance will be one of the smartphone’s headline features.

Although POCO has not officially disclosed the specifications, firmware references and industry reports indicate that the handset may be based on the Redmi Note 17 launched in China earlier this month. If that proves accurate, the smartphone is expected to feature:
POCO has confirmed that the M8 Power 5G will be sold through Flipkart after launch, with the e-commerce platform already hosting a dedicated promotional page for the device. However, details including pricing, storage configurations and the official launch date remain under wraps.
With the teaser campaign now underway, industry watchers expect POCO to gradually reveal additional specifications and launch details over the coming days. The smartphone is expected to compete in India’s highly competitive mid-range 5G segment, where battery life, display quality and value-for-money remain key purchase considerations.
