After much silence, senior JD (U) leader, Sharad Yadav finally opened up on Nitish Kumar’s alliance with BJP to form the new government in Bihar. He held a meeting with party leaders on Thursday and discussed the political situation in the state, following the CM’s decision to walk out of the mahagathbandhan and join hands with BJP.

After the meeting, JD (U) leader, Ali Anwar told the media that Yadav had no idea about Nitish’s decision to break away from the grand alliance.

“We, including Sharad ji had no idea that such a big development would happen overnight,” Anwar said.
Another JD (U) leader, Arun Kumar said that Yadav would talk to the leaders of all national parties over the recent political developments.

“Sharad ji is concerned over Nitish’s decision,” he said.

Interestingly, Yadav remained absent from the swearing-in ceremony of Nitish on Thursday morning. Reportedly, he wasn’t very happy with the collapse of the mahagathbandhan of the JD(U), Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress.
