Sonu Sood tests positive for COVID-19, in home quarantine

Actor Sonu Sood has tested positive for the novel coronavirus earlier today morning. The actor, who hit headlines for his philanthropistic work, shared the news on social media.

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Dabangg’ actor shared a note. The note read, “COVID-POSITIVE MOOD&SPIRIT-SUPER POSITIVE HI EVERYONE THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT I HAVE TESTED POSITIVE THIS MORNING FOR COVID-19 AS A PART OF PRECAUTIONS I HAVE ALREADY QUARANTINED MY SELF & TAKING UTMOST CARE…BUT DON’T WORRY THIS GIVES ME AMPLE TIME TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS REMEMBER I’M ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU ALL. SONU SOOD.”

He captioned the post as, “Stay Safe Stay Positive.”

Sonu Sood hit headlines last year for working relentlessly during the exodus of migrants in the country when the pandemic first hit. Then, he went on to help people by arranging medicines, hospital beds, and oxgyen for the COVID-19 patients.

Recently, the actor was announced as the brand ambassador of the Punjab government for its Covid vaccination programme. Even private airline SpiceJet honoured him by dedicating an aircraft livery for a Boeing 737, making him the first Indian actor to make it to the livery of a domestic airline.
