Stating it as a final move to finalise the seat-sharing formula for the upcoming elections in Telangana, CPI has asked Congress to conclude seat sharing activity on or before October 21.

CPI National General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy told media “We can’t wait for them (the Congress) eternally (to finalise seat-sharing).

“On October 21st, our state party executive is meeting. We will decide whether we should go with the alliance or we should decide our own way of contesting independently,” Reddy added.

According to sources, seat-sharing discussion among the four partners has been on. Also TDP, CPI and TJS are demanding more seats than Congress expectations. The Congress, TDP, CPI and TJS have made an alliance in Telangana, to take on incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samiti government.
