Top OTT Releases to Watch This Weekend: Movie theaters these days are pretty much running on fumes, so streaming is where the action’s at. And wow, these OTT platforms are practically throwing new shows at you faster than you can say “skip intro.” This weekend, there’s actually some wide variety.
We’re talking thrillers, true crime, survival drama, a genie, and even a true incident inspired story. Here’s what you actually wanna know:
S. Sivakarthikeyan and A. R. Murugadoss dropped this psychological-action banger in theaters early September, and now October 1, it’s on Prime Video.
The main guy got Fregoli delusion, and he’s roped into taking down an arms cartel. There’s action, mind games, and honestly, more twists than your last relationship. Oh, and it’s got dubs all over so you’re covered even if Tamil isn’t your thing.
Landing on October 3. Picture this: 1990s Britain, school’s falling apart, and Steve (the headteacher) is fighting both the system and his own baggage.
It’s not flashy, but it hits hard lots of character drama, feels, and some seriously raw moments. No giant explosions, just good old acting chops.
K-drama fans, assemble. Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy, plus a literal genie waking up after a thousand years. Three wishes, chaos ensues. You know the drill romance, fantasy, probably a few scenes that’ll make you ugly cry.
If you like your weekends a little unsettling, here’s the Ed Gein drama filled with terror. Real-life horror, inspiration for half the scary movies you’ve ever seen. Its not for the faint of heart.
Inspired by a true story with a school bus, wildfire, a teacher and driver trying to save a bunch of kids in California. Survival drama, big emotions, probably a tearjerker, not gonna lie.

Need a break from all the doom and gloom? Here’s your feel-good pick with comedy, charm, new beginnings. Details are kinda hush-hush, but expect to leave with a smile.

Dropped on October 2, it is aTamil tech thriller. Game developer, cyberattacks, identity threats, conspiracies. Basically, if you’re into tech paranoia, this is your jam.
