Twitter, in India, has been developing a new story feature called Fleets. After the success of Snapchat stories, Instagram stories, and LinkedIn stories, Twitter has implemented a story feature.
Fleets are a quick way to post thoughts using multimedia or text and it will automatically disappear after 24 hours. This feature currently is being tested in Brazil and Italy and both android and IOS users in India will be available to use fleets in the coming days.
In March, Twitter announced it had begun testing a new feature called “fleets,” short for “fleeting tweets” in Brazil.
Fleets are temporary tweets that look like vertical Instagram Stories. This content disappears after 24 hours and cannot be retweeted, replied to publicly, or embedded on to other pages.
People of Twitter will see a bar with circular story icons similar to Instagram from each account above their Twitter feed.
For posting fleets:
A plus button in a new row above Twitter Timeline can be seen. Ephemeral posts from others will appear in this row.
For reacting to fleets:
The Fleets can not be retweeted or embedded. The reaction feature just like IG stories are available for fleets.
