Rajasthan: Ragging at medical college; freshers forced to drink liquor, strip naked

Udaipur: 3 students of RNT Medical college have been arrested in a case related to ragging registered against them.

According to the report by a city-based news portal, it started when on Monday the students undergoing their second and third year at Nursing college called a few freshers in a rented house.

Reportedly, a victim stated that he while he was sitting with three of his batchmates near Bhupalpura Math, at around 6:30 in the evening, a senior came and asked him to come to a rented house. The freshers were there forced to strip naked and imitate a rooster, threatening that not doing so they would get beaten up.

Investigation officer ASI Arjun Singh informed about the arresting of 3 second year students and that one student belonging to the third year has been absconding.

Vijayamma Ajmera the Principal of College of Nursing that an investigation has been initiated in the case. According to an UdaipurTimes report, the four accused students have been suspended from the college for a duration of 6 months and a fine of Rs 25000 has been put on each of the four.
