On May 22, the world celebrates World Paloma Day, so get set to party the night away with the delicious Mexican Paloma cocktail. Have you not yet tasted the drink? This is the ideal moment to do so!
Even though there are numerous cocktail drinks available in the United States, there is always room for one more — particularly if it’s as delicious as a paloma! The refreshing alcoholic beverage made with grapefruit soda, tequila, and citrus has long been the national drink of Mexico. As a result of the 2019 establishment of World Paloma Day by the brand Cenote Tequila, this beverage is gaining popularity in the United States, despite its lower frequency of consumption. The special day is intended to recognise and commemorate the distinctive flavour and originality of the popular Mexican beverage.
Cenote introduced a pop-up Paloma Bar at the 2019 parade organised to celebrate World Paloma Day with a flourish in order to promote the day’s introduction. World Paloma Day celebrations were elevated in 2020 by the tequila brand Jose Cuervo, which introduced a charitable cocktail. What made Jose Cuervo’s Paloma so special, you ask? The bottled beverage was created so that people could make cocktails at home. This action was also taken with the dissemination of COVID-19 and the health sector’s recommended social distance guidelines in mind. Since 1886, The Drinks Trust has been providing support, care, and assistance to the personnel of the drinks industry with the profits collected from the sale of the beverage.
