2nd edition Dehradun Community Literature Festival kickstarts today

The 2nd edition of WIC India Dehradun Community Literature Festival 2017 (DCLF), will promote, understand and bring various culture and communities together through literature. The largest free literature festival in the region kickstarts from April 19 and will conclude on April 22. Newsd is digital media partner for the festival that will facilitate cultural dialogue and interactions.

Many noted authors and speakers will take part in this literature festival including Roshen Dalal, Nayantara Sahgal, Ira Mukhoty, Nitin Sathe, Devdutt Pattanaik, and Omkar Goswami. There will be different sessions between 10 am to 6 pm along with entertainment programmes from 7 pm onwards.

Developed by the World Integrity Foundation and World Integrity Centre India Dehradun, more than 1100 members of the WIC India, 100 schools of Dehradun and Mussoorie and over 20000 residents of the city have expressed a keen interest in this literature festival so far.

DCLF is part of the World Integrity Center Dehradun’s Community Outreach Program which is supported by the Harvard Club of India, the World Integrity Foundation and the Madhuban group of hotels. It will mark its second year since inception and has Embassy of Israel in India, UN Women India and the Center for Civil Society as partners.

The grand success of the first edition of this festival is the key motivating element for the organizers to celebrate it for the second time.
