The 70s romantic hero Rishi Kapoor never shied away from talking about his father's love affairs, his own temptations and crushes on Bollywood actresses.
Rishi Kapoor has revealed about it that his first girlfriend was a Parsi girl, Yasmin Mehta and he dated her before Bobby was out. He further added to it that after the Bobby was out a magazine published about the budding romance between Dimple and him and as Dimple was already married to Rajesh Khanna so it did not affect her but Yasmin broke up with him and Rishi tried hard to get her back but she did not agree to it.

Rishi said that he used to wear a ring which his first grlfriend Yasmin gave it to him, the ring had a peace sign on it. He said that when he was filming for Bobby. Dimple used to pull it off and used to wear it at times but one time she ended up keeping it and when Rajesh Khanna proposed her, he saw the ring in her hand and threw it away in the sea near his house in Juhu. Rishi added to it that he was never in love with Dimple or even infatuated with her.

I am sure he felt the award was rightfully his for Zanjeer, which released the same year. I am ashamed to say it, but I actually ‘bought’ that award. I was so naïve. There was this PRO, Taraknath Gandhi, who said to me, ‘Sir, tees hazaar de do, toh aap ko main award dila doonga.’ I am not the manipulative sort but I admit that I gave him the money without thinking.”
Rishi Kapoor explained about his incident and said that in the 80s and 90s the stars used to work upon their character on their own and used to decide the costume by themselves. During one such shoot, Rishi Kapoor confesses that he ended up wearing women’s trouser in one such shoot in which he wore a black flared jeans which had its zip in the side and he added to it that he made a fashion by picking up ladies trouser.
