In a sudden turn of events, actor-politician Urmila Matondkar on Tuesday quit the Congress party just after five months of joining.
As per the reports, Matondkar stated that, “My political and social sensibilities refuse to allow vested interests in the party to use me as a mean to fight petty in-house politics instead of working on a bigger goal in Mumbai Congress.”
The popular Bollywood actor contested and lost from Mumbai North constituency during Lok Sabha 2019 election.
