Rajasthan police constable exam date 2020: Rajasthan Police Recruitment Board has released the examination dates of its constable (GD, Driver) recruitment. As per the official press release, the recruitment examination will be held on November 6, 7 and 8.

Previously, the exam was tentatively slated for the month of May, however, postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up 5438 vacancies of constable in its 59 units. According to the official data, nearly 17.5 lakh candidates have registered for the positions.

The exam will be conducted keeping in mind the essential precautionary measures and safety protocols in order to protect the candidates from getting infected with Coronavirus, as per Bhupendra Singh, Director General of Police, Rajasthan statement.

Selection process:

Candidates would have to qualify a written exam followed by a physical efficiency test (PET) and physical standard test (PST). The written exam will be objective in nature carrying 150 questions.

Exam Pattern:

The exam will be of 100 numbers. The written examination will include 150 objective type questions carrying a total of 75 marks. The exam will be of 2 hours. Mode of exam will be offline and OMR based. 25% marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be a physical efficiency test of 15 marks.

Written test admit cards will be released online. No admit card will be sent by post.

Also, 10 numbers will be given of special merit. The examination will be of 2 hours. Applicants from SC, ST, OBC residing in other states will be considered in the general category.

Salary

For two years, aspirants will be paid Rs 14600 per month during the trainee. After this, according to the 7th Pay Commission, regular salary will be L-5 salary and other allowances as per rules.

Final merit

Merit in the recruitment examination will be made at the district level. There will be a written test first. Then there will be a physical efficiency test. Then there will be scale. There will be a driving test for driver positions. Based on the score in all these exams, merit list will be made at the district level.

There will also be a driving test for drivers of the post. Which will be 15 digits. Those with NCC C certificate will get 5 marks in recruitment, NCC B certificate will get 4 marks and NCC A certificate will get 3 marks. Homeguards will likewise get additional marks based on experience.

The exam will consist of questions from general knowledge of computer and logical reasoning, general science, general studies, social science and contemporary issues, law provisions for crime against women and children, knowledge of rules, history, culture, art, geography, economics and politics of Rajasthan.
