O’Romeo Day 2 Box Office: The highly awaited Bollywood film O’Romeo which features Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri has achieved a moderately positive box office performance. The film which Vishal Bhardwaj directed reached theaters on February 13 which marked the beginning of the Valentine’s Day weekend which people consider a better time period for releasing romantic movies and star-driven films.

After reaching a “strictly decent” opening on Day 1 trade observers now wait to see if the film will experience Saturday growth which Bollywood movies need to build their momentum.

The film O’Romeo achieved approximately ₹8.25 crore net earnings during its first day at Indian box offices according to trade estimates which multiple industry trackers reported. The figure reached a respectable level but it failed to meet the double-digit projection which observers made about the star-studded Valentine’s release.

The film achieved total Hindi occupancy of approximately 14 to 15 percent on Friday while the night shows showed better results which demonstrated that positive word-of-mouth started to spread throughout the day.

The opening failed to reach the ₹10 crore threshold yet it still exceeded the box office performance of multiple Shahid Kapoor movies which included Deva and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.

Box offices show that movies which achieve good box office results on Fridays will experience a 20 to 40 percent increase on Saturdays when their audience reaction stays steady or improves. Early trade expectations suggest O’Romeo could benefit from:

  • Weekend footfall growth
  • Valentine’s weekend advantage
  • Urban multiplex audience pull
  • Shahid Kapoor’s star value and chemistry with Triptii Dimri

Some reports assert that Day 1 showed better results in evening and night occupancy which will lead to higher weekend earnings if word of mouth remains steady.

If the film manages to cross ₹10–12 crore on Day 2, it would be considered a healthy upward trend and could set the stage for a respectable opening weekend total.
