Gold Price Today: Gold and silver prices still in focus on Monday, August 24, 2026 after that solid upswing in the precious metals market last week. In the domestic retail space prices opened at a higher level and the latest MCX futures readout also suggested that both metals racked up sharp weekly gains.
As per the newest early morning bullion updates, 24-carat gold came in at ₹1,62,810 per 10 grams, while 999 fine silver was quoted at ₹2,47,540 per kg. Retail rates can be different city to city not just because of local taxes but also due to transportation charges and jewellers’ margins.

MCX Gold and Silver Update
The precious metals rally has also been reflected in the futures market. In the previous week, MCX gold futures for October delivery went up ₹7,932, or 5.13% to close near ₹1.62 lakh per 10 grams. At the same time, MCX silver futures for September delivery rose ₹10,673, or 4.52% and it settled near ₹2.46 lakh per kg.
