The digital premiere of the film will occur on the platform according to multiple media reports which demonstrate that Aamir Khan has changed his previous position about releasing movies on OTT platforms.
The film does not have an official release date but industry sources believe it will premiere on a Friday during April 2026 and an official date announcement will come soon.
Some reports indicate that the streaming rollout could start in late March 2026 but this depends on the scheduling of the streaming platform.

Why Was There a Delay in OTT Release?
The release path of Sitaare Zameen Par became the main subject of discussion. Aamir Khan initially denied permission for OTT release of the film because he wanted to protect theatrical box office revenue.
The film became available on YouTube through a pay-per-view system which charged viewers ₹100 for each viewing. Khan planned to implement his initiative which would make movies available to all people at cheaper rates.
The filmmakers changed their release plan after several months by choosing to use standard OTT distribution methods which would help them attract more viewers who pay for subscriptions.

Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy-drama movie which R. S. Prasanna directed as an official remake of the Spanish film Champions.
Plot
The story follows Gulshan Arora, a troubled basketball coach who, after a legal incident, is assigned to train a team of neurodivergent players. The main character who receives punishment must complete his punishment which leads to an experience which brings him love and progress and self-understanding.
