Abhishek Bachchan’s The Big Bull comes alive with its first poster

The film stars Ileana D'Cruz, Nikita Dutta, Ram Kapoor, and Lekha Prajapati, the financial crime-drama is being co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit.

It’s been some time Abhishek hasn’t been in silver screen for two years, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. He had no releases in 2019. Abhishek is now gearing up to star in The Big Bull, which is being directed by Kookie Gulati. On December 2nd the actor took to social media and shared the first look poster of his upcoming release.

The film stars Ileana D’Cruz, Nikita Dutta, Ram Kapoor, and Lekha Prajapati, the financial crime-drama is being co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit.

The film tries to project the financial crisis that took place during the timeframe of 1990 and 2000 involving Harshad Mehta and his financial crimes.

He captioned his post, “The Big Bull! The man who sold dreams to India.” The poster showcased a silhouette of a man, who is dressed in a pantsuit having his finger over his lips. He is wearing a pair of glasses, sports a mustache and wears several rings on his fingers.

There have been consistent rumors that Abhishek is likely to essay the role of Sahir Ludhianvi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on the legendary Urdu poet-lyricist of Bollywood. It was also said that his wife, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was to play Amrita Pritam in the film.

Amrita and Sahir’s love for each other is well-known. While no official announcement to that effect was made by Bhansali, it was later said that Aishwarya was no longer part of the project, having moved on to Mani Ratnam’s ambitious historical, Ponniyin Selvan.

In September last year, Abhishek had posted the first poster of The Big Bull and is scheduled to hit the screens in 2020.

Along with this film, Abhishek also has other films in the lineup. He will be headlining Bob Biswas, a spin-off on the serial killer by the same name from the film Kahaani. The movie is being directed by Annapurna Ghosh and is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment.

He will also star in Anurag Basu’s Ludo alongside Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Pankaj Tripathi. The first poster was released on April 24.
