On Tuesday, a 57-year-old bollywood actor Vijay Raaz was arrested by the Gondia police in a molestation case. According to the sources, he has been arrested from a hotel in Gondia in Maharashtra.
As per police official statement, Raaz allegedly molested a woman during the shoot of a film named ‘Sherni’ in Madhya Pradesh.
News agency ANI confirmed the same on Twitter, “Actor Vijay Raaz was arrested from Gondia yesterday allegedly for molesting a woman crew member. A case has been registered, Atul Kulkarni, Additional SP, Gondia.”
The shooting of the film was halted following Vijay Raaz’s arrest. A case was registered late Monday night at Ramnagar police station on the complaint of the woman. Police arrested the actor from the hotel on Tuesday morning.
However, earlier Vijay Raaz was also arrested in Dubai on charges of possessing drugs in 2005. He was later released on bail. Talking about the work front, Vijay was quite popular for his funny character played in the Bollywood film ‘Run’. People started calling him with the scene ‘Kauwa Biryani’. After this, he worked in many hit films like ‘Dhamaal’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Deewane Hue Pagal’, ‘Bombay to Goa’.
