Days after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state chief Annapurna Devi and two ex-legislators of the party likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) another RJD leader is set to follow her path. Speculations are on the rise that the politician may join the saffron party.

On Wednesday, in a press conference, Girinath shared the news of his resignation from the primary party membership. The leader indicated that he would continue to be active in social and political activities in the future.

RJD Secretary General Rajkumar Yadav, State Vice President Virendra Mehta and RJD Jhumariteliya Nagar Sangathan Secretary Shailesh Kumar Shalu also resigned from the party after Annapurna Devi left the RJD.

Last week, two former Lok Sabha candidates of the JVM (P), Prabhat Bhuyian from Palamu and Nilam Devi from Chatra, joined the BJP. Nilam Devi is said to be the front runner for Chatra seat.
