Ahmedabad Metro Timings for IPL: People going to IPL matches at Narendra Modi Stadium will get extra time to travel back home by metro. Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation has decided to keep Ahmedabad Metro running later than usual on selected match nights. On normal days, metro service in Ahmedabad ends at 10 PM. But on these IPL dates, trains will keep running late into the night so fans can leave the stadium more easily. Reports say this special plan will be used on April 4, 17, 20, 26, and 30, and also on May 3 and 12.
The late-night service will not run in the same way on every route. From Motera Stadium, trains to APMC will run till 12:30 AM. From Old High Court Interchange, metro service to Vastral Gam will continue till 12:50 AM, and the same late timing will also apply for trains going to Thaltej Gam. On the Gandhinagar side, trains from Motera Stadium to Mahatma Mandir will run till 12:10 AM.
Boarding Rules and Special Match-Day Ticket
After 10 PM, passengers will not be able to board from every station. GMRC has said that during the late-night match service, people can board only from Motera Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro Station for travel to the stations that stay open. This has been done to manage the big match crowd in a smoother way.
GMRC has also brought in a special paper ticket for the return trip from the stadium on these match days. The price of this ticket is Rs 50 for each person. People can buy it in advance on the same day of the match. Reports say the ticket will be available at stations including Nirant Cross Road, Rabari Colony, Apparel Park, Kalupur, Old High Court, Thaltej, Motera, Sabarmati, Ranip, Vadaj, Jivraj Park, GNLU, Infocity, Sector-1, and Mahatma Mandir.

What Changes on Match Days?
Usually, Ahmedabad Metro runs from 6:20 AM to 10 PM. The Gandhinagar corridor between Motera Stadium and Mahatma Mandir normally works from 7:30 AM to 7:40 PM. But on IPL nights, extra trains will be added after the normal closing time because a large number of people are expected at the stadium. This means fans will have a better chance of getting transport after the match instead of getting stuck outside late at night.
