In a significant move to address pollution, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood declared on Friday that air purifiers would be installed in 10,000 classrooms.

This ambitious plan aims to provide students with cleaner air as they learn.

Sood emphasized the government’s commitment to resolving pollution issues through sustainable, long-term measures rather than short-lived campaigns.

He criticized strategies like the Odd-Even traffic rule used by previous administrations.

In addition to the air purifiers, the Public Works Department will allocate environment cess funds to procure mechanical road sweepers for assembly constituencies, further indicating the government’s holistic approach to urban and environmental management.
