At the dealers’ meet, Ajanta shared their future plan that focuses on launching different types of shoes, reaching more cities, and growing through many channels. Right now, they already hold around 40% of the market in the slippers segment in West Bengal. But now they are moving into new areas like women’s shoes, clogs, and athleisure wear. These new categories will help them reach people who are looking for value products, mass-market options, and even premium styles.
Smart Shoes Coming Soon
Ajanta Shoes is also increasing its presence in West Bengal and going after big markets like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and parts of South India. Their growth plan includes selling through regular footwear stores, exclusive Ajanta showrooms, and also online, where they’re growing fast. They’re using a multi-channel strategy so more people can find and buy their products easily.
One of the most exciting things Ajanta is doing this year is launching smart shoes right before Durga Puja. These high-tech shoes are already available in Dubai at a price of ₹15,000, but Ajanta will launch them in India for ₹9,000. These smart shoes will be the first of their kind in the country. They will have special features like tracking footsteps, playing songs, using Google Maps, and even taking pictures with a built-in camera.
