Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun remake? Here's the truth

Hum Aapke Hai Koun is the biggest hit of the century. And whenever we talk about Sooraj Barjatiya’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun, we are always reminded of Nisha and Prem aka Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan’s chemistry- from their snapping at each other to Prem flirting with Nisha, Nisha and Prem have come to hold a special place in everyone’s heart.

Ever thought of a remake of the iconic 1994 film? Well, Madhuri Dixit, who is busy with the promotions of Abhishek Varman’s Kalank, was asked about her thoughts on the remake of ‘Hum Apke Hain Koun’, and Madhuri informed DNA, “Oh my goodness. I feel it depends on the way the characters are written. I feel our writers are very important. The way they will write the scenes and the dialogues will determine the chemistry between two actors. Just because you know each other, you can’t create that chemistry. It has to be well written and directed. For me, anybody can play that role.”

But when she was quizzed if her Kalank co-stars aka Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will fit the bill, Madhuri said, “Alia and Varun can easily play those characters. Alia is a very good actress. She can get into any role and make it her own. So yeah, definitely. They’ll be good.” And when Alia was informed that Madhuri thinks she and Varun can easily qualify to play Nisha and Prem, Alia had said, “Wow! That’s a first! Call up Sooraj Barjatya Sir, somebody. Unhi ko banaana chahiye…I don’t think anybody can be Nisha and Prem – that was too iconic a film. I feel it’s too gracious and generous of ma’am to say this.” Well, we too think that Nisha and Prem’s iconic love story can be best played by Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.

Madhuri Dixit-Nene is currently promoting the 1940’s period film Kalank with her co-stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman and will hit the screens on April 17
