Aligarh Muslim University to resume offline classes in phased manner

The order came come in the light of the Vice Chancellor approving various departments, centres and schools of the university to re-open offline teaching and learning activities in a phased manner as third Covid wave has subsided across much of the Country.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) authorities allowed resuming offline classes at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) and the Z A Dental College (ZADC) from February 21.

The order came come in the light of the Vice Chancellor approving various departments, centres and schools of the university to re-open offline teaching and learning activities in a phased manner as third Covid wave has subsided across much of the Country.

“Classes for students of MBBS Final Prof Part-II (2017 batch), MBBS Final Prof Part-I (2018 batch), BDS Final Prof (2018 batch) and BDS Third Prof (2019 batch) will commence on February 21. We are opening the medical and dental colleges in phases to avoid overcrowding”, said Professor R Bhargava (Dean, Faculty of Medicine).

He added: “Students will have to submit Covid vaccination certificates for reporting in their residential hostels and they must report to their college and hostel before 4 pm for entry in the hostel premises”.

“We urge students to strictly follow the Covid appropriate behaviour, avoid overcrowding and to always wear masks to curb pandemic spread. They have to immediately report to the JNMC and follow instructions in case of developing virus symptoms” stressed Professor Bhargava.
