Don't politicise NRC, it is not right: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has come under fire on Twitter after he saluted the people of Jammu and Kashmir who had condemned the attack on pilgrims and kept the spirit of Kashmiriyat alive.

A twitter user lashed out at Singh, saying it was not the Home Minister job to placate. Instead of placating, drag those cowards out and cull them.

“The attack on Amarnath Yatris is a cowardly act of terror. Heartening to see the whole nation stand united against terrorism”, said Rajnath Singh in his tweet.

In his another tweet, the Home Minister said, ” The people of Kashmir have strongly condemned the terror attack on Amarnath yatris. It shows the spirit of Kashmiriyat is very much alive.”

Editor of Make My Trip, a travel website, Shuchi Singh Kalra‏ got hyper-aggressive over Singh tweet.

She says in her tweet by using a derogatory word, ” Who gives a fuck about the spirit of Kashmiriyat at this moment? It’s not your job to placate. Just drag those cowards out and cull them.”

Instead of just ignoring Shuchi, Rajnath Singh politely replied, saying it was absolutely his job to ensure peace and tranquility in all parts of the country. However, soon Kalra deleted the twitter account.

At least seven people were killed and 19 others were injured on Monday after terrorists attacked a bus ferrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in Anantnag, Jammu, and Kashmir.
