AMU Professor Qudsia Tahseen elected to INSA Council

Prof. Qudsia Tahseen, Department of Zoology, Aligarh Muslim University, has been elected to the Council of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), India’s preeminent scientific organization devoted to recognizing outstanding scientific achievements. This award recognizes her outstanding contributions to the scientific community and her dedication to advancing knowledge and its applications for societal advancement.

Prof. Tahseen has served as an INSA sectional committee expert and has been awarded the INSA Young Scientist medal. She is the only faculty member at AMU who is presently a fellow of three prestigious National Academies: INSA, IASc, and NASI.

Her expertise in nematode taxonomy has garnered her international recognition and numerous fellowships, including the Royal Society Fellowship, the Rothamsted International Fellowship, the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, and the TWAS-CAS Fellowship.
