Annapurna Bhandar Yojana August Payment: Many women in West Bengal are waiting for the August 2026 payment under the Annapurna Bhandar scheme. The ₹3,000 amount is expected to reach eligible bank accounts in the first week of August. This monthly support helps many families with their everyday expenses. The scheme is also called Annapurna Yojana.

Annapurna Yojana was brought in as a replacement for the old TMC-era Lakshmir Bhandar scheme. Under the earlier plan, women from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe households got ₹1,200 per month, while women from other groups got ₹1,000. The new scheme has a higher fixed support amount of ₹3,000 every month, which makes it a much bigger help for the beneficiaries.

How to Check if the Money has Arrived?

Beneficiaries can check payment and application status through the state’s Social Security Portal. The portal has a “Track Applicant Status” option, and users can search with their Application ID, Aadhaar number, or registered mobile number.

The official West Bengal portal also shows a “Track Applicant Status” section for the Annapurna Yojana page, which is where applicants can follow their case. Direct credit can also be checked in the Aadhaar-linked bank account.

What if Money is not showing up?

  • If the money is not showing up, the first thing to check is whether DBT is active.
  • The bank account must be linked to Aadhaar and must be the same account used in the application.
  • The name in the form should also match the Aadhaar card and the bank passbook.
  • Using the same mobile number for many family members can also slow things down.
  • Another common problem is confusion about which bank account is active for DBT, especially when a person has more than one account.

Help Numbers

People who need help are sharing several helpline numbers for the scheme. These include 1800-345-5555, 1800-345-5505, CM Connect Grievance Cell at 1971 or 1800-3456-851, Duare Sarkar General Helpline at 033-22143526, Nodal Department Desk Line at 033-23341563, and State-Wide Support WhatsApp at 82820 82820.

Email contacts that are being used include contact@annapurnabhandarwb.com, duaresarkar@gmail.com, and secy.wcdsw@gmail.com. The state’s official social welfare website and Directorate of Social Welfare contact page remain the safest places to verify any contact detail before calling.

Common Rejection Reasons

There are also some clear reasons why payment may not come. The applicant or a family member cannot be a permanent government employee or a government pensioner.

The applicant or any family member also must not be an income taxpayer. A fake caste certificate, such as a false SC/ST document, can also lead to rejection. In some cases, the payment is held up because the door-to-door verification of the application and papers has not yet been completed.
