Mumbai, Feb 26 (IANS) Actor Anshuman Jha will be seen playing a serial killer, inspired by criminal Udayan Das, in a web series.
He recently shot for the crime thriller “Abhay” in Lucknow and Kanpur.
He is known for acting in films like “Love Sex Aur Dhokha”, “Yeh Hai Bakrapur” and “Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain”. Why did he choose to play a villain in the ZEE5 series?
“As an actor, you look for challenges. And a character based on such a notorious person is a challenge. Purely from a craft point of view, I look for good stories and parts which have many shades. Being a good guy on screen all the time can get monotonous and boring,” Anshuman said in a statement.
For preparation, he saw some footage of “Udayan Das and other serial killers originating from small towns”.
This is the first time that he is playing an antagonist.
“This man is dark. I have done a film called ‘Midnight Delhi’ where my character is based on Delhi’s ‘Blademan’. He was just violent. This guy is violent and dark,” he said.
