Asian Paints reported a 5.87% decline in consolidated net profit for the June quarter in FY26, attributing the decrease to subdued demand for decorative paints, its primary business line.
The company’s revenue saw a marginal dip, with sales dropping to Rs 8,924.49 crore compared to Rs 8,943.24 crore in the same period last year. The firm attributed this decline to a challenging macro-economic environment and early monsoons that affected demand.
While domestic performance lagged, Asian Paints’ international operations experienced a promising 8.4% increase in revenue, driven by gains in Asian markets, the UAE, and Egypt. Shares rose by 1.81% in response, closing at Rs 2,401.70 on BSE.
