A Muslim man along with his entire family in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli converted to Hindu citing Lord Ram had been appearing in his dreams several times, asking him to convert to Hinduism. The news comes exactly a month after a Muslim family in Baghpat district of the state had embraced Hinduism.
According to the report, Shazad changed his name to Sanju Rana, after conversion, and also went to the district magistrate to make the procedure official.
As per the claims made by him, his ancestors were Hindus, who were forced to convert to Islam.
“For the past 15-20 days, Lord Ram has been appearing in my dreams, asking me to come back (to Hinduism). We were Hindus earlier; invaders had come to our lands centuries ago and forced my ancestors to convert to Islam. I am just returning to my roots,” said Rana.
Sanju said that he considered Lord Ram as his favoured deity. From today, he will live according to the customs of Hinduism. Sanju also worshipped Lord Shiva in the Collectorate and worshipped Lord Shiva and Shri Ram.
