The Digital Media Journalists Association of Assam (DiMJAA) has registered an FIR against the chief of All India United Democratic Forum (AIUDF), Badruddin Ajmal. Ajmal is an MP from Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency.

Following Ajmal’s misbehaviour with a journalist, the DiMJAA filed an FIR. In the FIR, the association said that besides misbehaving with the journo, Ajmal used abusive language, threating Mandal to kill him. The Association has also submitted a copy of the viral video attached with the FIR.

The incident took place during a briefing at Mancachar, Dhubri.

DiMJAA now hopes that the needed action will be taken regarding the incident.

The FIR is filed after Ajmal tried attacking the journalist after being asked about the possibility of an alliance with the BJP or the Congress. The MP screamed, “Go dogs, for how much money have you been bought by BJP? Go away, I will smash your head. Go register a case against me you son of a dog,” screamed Ajmal.”

An AIUDF leader sitting next to Ajmal later asked the journalist to apologise, following which the scribe said, “sorry” adding that he was misunderstood.

Ajmal is the founder of Assam United Democratic Front (AUDF) which is now called the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF). He was featured in the 2015-2016 list of World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims published by Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, Jordan.
