Assam’s Tinsukiya killing has started showing the hazards of the event as the bus services has been affected immensely. The business of bus services between Siliguri of West Bengal and Assam are witnessing a new low.

“The allegations that BJP leader Shiladitya Dev made that ULFA is also involved in the Tinsukia killings is false. We are in the final stage of the peace process with Government of India; We would not want it to be disturbed. We do not have any weapons, how can we do it. There is some vested interest to derail our peace talks,” said ULFA(I) chief Anup Chetia.

On November 1 2018, suspected militants of ULFA(I) massacred five Bengali Hindus on the banks of Brahmaputra near Kherbari village in Assam’s Tinsulia district.

The Assam Police also launched a massive combing operation to nab those involved the killing of five people in Tinsukia district Thursday even as the ULFA(I) has denied involvement in the attack.
Also, a four-member Trinamool Congress delegation reached Assam to meet the family members of the five people killed by suspected militants.

West Bengal chief minister expressed her anguish over the brutal killing of the five people, out of which three were that of the same family. Banerjee went on to say that an environment of violence is prevailing in the country.
