Banking services in certain parts of the country will be unavailable for three days during the upcoming week, owing to a combination of a regional festival and regular weekend closures.
The Reserve Bank of India’s annual holiday calendar under the Negotiable Instruments Act outlines these dates. As per the holiday calendar, these non-working days fall between June 9 and June 15, 2025. Digital channels like NEFT/RTGS, UPI, mobile and net banking, and ATMs will generally remain functional, unless there’s a scheduled system downtime .

The bank will remain closed on the occasion of Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti the birth anniversary of the mystic poet and saint Kabir Das.
Not all over the India, but banks will be closed regionally in Shimla, Gangtok, Himachal Pradesh, and Sikkim to observe this holiday. Saga Dawa, a significant Buddhist festival is also observed on this date, especially in Sikkim.

Banks will remain closed on 14th of June as a regular Second Saturday holiday is observed nationwide. All scheduled and non-scheduled banks across India will remain closed.
Sunday, 15 June 2025
Standard Sunday weekly holiday on 15th of June will be observed across all Indian banks.
This week, on the above mentioned three dates bank’s will remain closed. If in-person visits are required, avoid these dates. Transfers and cheque clearances may delay due to non-processing days. Better to plan ahead considering these holidays.
